| Help Defeat Senate Bill 79 |

Senate Bill 79 has new life. As you all know SB 79 would require: 1) women to have "in person" counseling a minimum of 24 hours prior to providing consent for an abortion 2) a physician to perform an ultrasound and provide the woman the results of the scan (note: the legislation would permit a woman to "avert her eyes", but not her ears). Last week the Health and Welfare Committee killed this bill in committee. The Senate is determined to have this bill heard on the house floor, so they added SB 79 as an amendment to House Bill 241. The legislature still has two days to pass this bill and the Family Foundation and Kentucky Right to Life are doing everything they can to get this bill to pass. We need you to call again. Please call 1-800-372-7181 and leave a message with your representative and ask the receptionist to copy your message to all Democrats in the House. Please ask you representative to respect the Health and Welfare Committee and not call HB 241 to the floor of the House. |
