Overview:

The ACLU-KY development internship program aims to expose and train individuals in a growing field of development while helping to strengthen our development department and execute our department’s mission. The mission of the ACLU-KY development team is to fund our organization’s work to preserve the civil liberties of Kentuckians. We use ACLU-KY value statement and a racial justice lens to identify and activate the full potential of donors by connecting donors to our work; make the case for increased and sustained support; and create long-lasting relationships with our philanthropic base throughout the state.

The intern will learn about the full spectrum of development activities within ACLU-KY and will work with different members of the development department to gain experience from an established and dynamic development program. With guidance and mentorship from the development director, the intern will work on a project of interest. Additionally, the intern may be asked to assist with cultivation activities such as donor events, mailings, and email updates.
