Bio
From a young age, Jill has been passionate about fairness, equity, and justice. Inspired by strong role models in her life who embodied resilience and integrity, she developed a deep belief in standing up for others and working toward a more just Kentucky. That early influence continues to shape her commitment to building a Commonwealth where all people can thrive.
A lifelong Kentuckian, Jill cares deeply about fighting for reproductive rights and improving maternal health outcomes for our state, amplifying racial justice efforts, protecting LGBTQ rights, and dismantling systemic barriers to equity and opportunity. She is also in long-term recovery, and her personal and professional experiences inform her dedication to advancing awareness, reducing stigma, and expanding freedoms for Kentuckians in recovery and justice-involved individuals.
Jill began her nonprofit career in Central Kentucky at God’s Pantry Food Bank and has since worked with organizations across the state that strengthen families and expand opportunity, including Volunteers of America Mid-States, Neighborhood House, and the Food Literacy Project.
She earned her degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and has volunteered with grassroots organizations addressing hunger, homelessness, and health equity. Outside of work, Jill enjoys time outdoors with her family, live music, and supporting social justice efforts across Kentucky.
