Pregnant Workers Act Press Conference

No Kentuckian should have to choose between the health of their pregnancy and their job. Yet this is happening all too often in the Commonwealth. Show your support for legislation that provides modest accommodations to pregnant workers by attending Senator Alice Forgy Kerr's press conference to announce the pre-filing of the Pregnant Workers Bill. It is in Annex Room 265 of the capitol.

This bill puts in place modest accommodations for employees affected by pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions. For example, by providing more frequent or longer breaks, time off to recover from childbirth, appropriate seating, temporary transfer to a less strenuous or less hazardous position, light duty, modified work schedule, and private space that not a bathroom for expressing breast milk.
