Rally for the CROWN Act

March 1, 2023 @ 11:30 am 12:30 pm

Join The Real Young Prodigys and other advocates to rally for the CROWN Act at the Kentucky Capitol!

It's far past time for Kentucky to protect students and workers from race-based hair discrimination. This legislation easily passed out of committee last year, and needs your support to help get it over the finish line in 2023.

Are you a youth performer or speaker? You can join the line up and share your piece! Contact Info@HHN2L.org or text 502-712-2865.

What is the CROWN Act?

The CROWN Act (Creating a Respectful World for Natural Hair) would prevent discrimination based on hairstyles. Kentuckians can currently be fired or sent home from school because of the way they wear their hair. Hair discrimination often affects people of color and clearly has no basis in job or academic performance. Several Kentucky communities have passed local ordinances, and it is beyond time for this protection to extend to all Kentuckians.
