We The People Dinner

March 23, 2019 @ 6:30 pm
@ 10:30 pm

Since 2000, Susan Hershberg and her Wiltshire Pantry have hosted the "We the People" dinner to raise crucial funds to support the important work of the Fairness Campaign and the ACLU of Kentucky. Both organizations work tirelessly to make Kentucky a more inclusive place – one that values all people – and our work has never been more important than right now.

The ACLU of Kentucky continues to defend reproductive freedom in the courts and the legislature, currently litigating three cases that would severely limit access to reproductive health care while working to stop additional legislation from passing. We have also introduced the Pregnant Worker’s Act, which would provide modest accommodations for people in the workplace who are expecting. The Fairness Campaign has continued to stop anti-LGBTQ attacks in the Kentucky General Assembly while expanding protections in Paducah and Maysville and launching SAGE of the Bluegrass. Together, the ACLU of Kentucky and the Fairness Campaign continue to advocate for statewide non-discrimination protections and collaborate on a number of intersectional issues including racial justice and immigrants’ rights.

We hope to see you March 23 to celebrate and support our two organizations. Get your tickets today before they sell out!
