SB7, a bill that would require an ultrasound before an abortion AND mandate the doctor to give a woman a “detailed description of the fetus,” whether she wants to hear it or not, overwhelmingly passed out of a Senate committee and passed the full Senate by a 31-5 vote.  Senators Perry Clark, Reggie Thomas, Denise Harper-Angel, Morgan McGarvey, and Gerald Neal voted against the measure.

A North Carolina bill with the exact language of SB7 was recently declared unconstitutional by the 4th Circuit Court of appeals.

The bill now heads to the Kentucky House.

Enough is enough.  The government has no business regulating conversations between doctors and patients, nor the money to spend on litigation. Call 1-800-372-7181 and ask your representatives to vote NO on SB7.
