WHAT:

Members of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky (ACLU-KY) legal and advocacy teams will discuss on Monday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. their goals, plans, and updates ahead of the 2020 General Assembly.

Advocacy team members will brief the press on civil rights and civil liberties priorities and expected defense work during the legislative session in the areas of juvenile justice, reproductive rights, immigrants’ rights, and more. 

ACLU-KY attorneys will provide an update on the status of their legal docket, including the latest in active cases challenging four separate laws and regulations aimed at shutting down Kentucky’s last abortion provider.

Members of the ACLU-KY Legal and Advocacy teams will be available for one-on-one interviews with the press following a brief, 20-minute presentation.
