The Family Preservation Act is a solutions-focused policy that addresses the root causes of crime. The bill is modeled on legislation from other states that provide community-based alternatives to prison and/or jail to prioritize safety while keeping families together.

The proposed amendment would automatically restore voting rights to most individuals convicted of felonies in Kentucky upon completion of their sentences, excluding those convicted of certain serious offenses, and sets forth procedures for submitting the measure to voters.

This bill would force all law enforcement agencies to support Immigration and Customs Enforcement, force all Kentucky correctional facilities to hold ICE detainees, and prevent the creation of an policies interpreted as "sanctuary" policies.
