"In these moments when words fail after natural disaster after natural disaster, during a pandemic, and in all of the political tumult, it's often artists and poets that we turn to, to help us express and process our grief." –ACLU-KY Interim Executive Director Amber Duke
Our unique work keeps us busy in the courts and in Frankfort, but as a statewide organization we know we must connect members, donors, volunteers, community members, partner organizations, legislators, and cooperating attorneys throughout Kentucky. To help accomplish this, we hosted our annual meeting in Lexington for the first time in recent years at the historic Lyric Theater!

Over the past several years, the Kentucky General Assembly has targeted the most vulnerable among us and sought to strip people of their basic civil rights and liberties. In response, Kentuckians came together and grew organizations like the ACLU of Kentucky. Your support allowed us to rapidly expand and deepen our efforts in Frankfort and in court, and we are now working to deepen our roots in the communities throughout the commonwealth that made this growth possible.
