We filed our proposed amicus brief with the District Court in the pending challenge to Kentucky’s ban on marriage equality. Having already decided that Kentucky’s refusal to recognize valid same-sex marriages from other jurisdictions — an issue that is currently on appeal to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals — the District Court allowed intervening plaintiffs to enter the litigation for the purpose of challenging Kentucky’s marriage ban as it relates to those couples wishing to marry in Kentucky.
