What is House Bill 497?

HB 497 will help Kentuckians get back on their feet after incarceration by assisting with resume building, work certificates, accessing SNAP, acquiring valid ID, and more.

What is Senate Bill 84?

SB 84, “Dignity Bill Part 2”, will ensure pregnant incarcerated people have the necessary resources for safe, healthy pregnancies. It will prohibit solitary confinement of pregnant people, ensure 6 weeks of postpartum care, increase access to substance use disorder treatment, allow time for parents to bond with their infants, and connect people with social workers to establish reunification plans.
