We would like to invite our Paducah-area allies and supporters to see "Dolores" at the McCracken County Public Library Saturday, March 3, an event we are proud to co-sponsor with the Western Kentucky Chapter of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, and McCracken County Public Library.
This documentary covers the story of Dolores Huerta, one of the most influential activists, yet least acknowledged, in American History. An equal partner in co-founding the Farm Workers Union with Cesar Chavez, and tireless fighter for racial and labor justice alongside Chavez, becoming one of the most defiant feminist of the 20th century- a fight she continues to this day at 87! If you have ever used the phrase "Si Se Puede" you owe Dolores dues, come honor her by learning her powerful story!
