This bill was a good step forward, but was sidelined by the novel coronavirus pandemic. We remain committed to this legislation and plan to advance it during the next legislative session.

We support the effort to require employers with 50 or more employees to provide twelve weeks of paid parental leave for an employee who has been employed for at least one year.  The bill would also allow an employee to waive the paid leave, if they so choose.
