Court Denies Petition to Keep Polling Locations Open in Jefferson County

Attorneys from the ACLU of Kentucky and the Kentucky Democratic Party were unsuccessful in asking Jefferson Circuit Court to order polling locations in Jefferson County remain open past 6:00 p.m. ET.

ACLU-KY Petitions to Intervene in Kentucky Democratic Party’s Election Lawsuit, Asks to Keep Polls Open

The ACLU of Kentucky today petitioned the Court to allow us to join the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) in their lawsuit demanding Jefferson County polling locations remain open to accommodate Kentuckians who have experienced extreme, prolonged delays while voting in today’s historic election.
