Cold Spring becomes 19th KY City to Pass Fairness Ordinance

The northern Kentucky city of Cold Spring became the 19th city to adopt a Fairness Ordinance with a 4-1 vote. Fairness ordinances protect LGBTQ people from discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodation.

‘Slate of Hate’ Moving through the Kentucky Legislature

Very few new and original ideas get traction in the Kentucky General Assembly. Year after year, legislators look at the bills making headlines across the country and file them here in the Commonwealth. LGBTQ Kentuckians are among this year’s targets of copycat legislation, facing a series of ill-conceived bills, best described as a Slate of Hate.

Unanimous Vote Makes Fort Thomas 17th KY City with LGBTQ Fairness Ordinance

With a unanimous vote of 5-0 by the city council, the Campbell County town of Fort Thomas, population 16,263, became the seventeenth city in the Commonwealth and fifth in Northern Kentucky to approve a Fairness Ordinance prohibiting LGBTQ discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations.

Versailles Becomes 14th City With Fairness Ordinance

Versailles became the 14th Kentucky town to adopt a fairness ordinance with a vote of 3-2. Versailles has a population of 8,568. LGBTQ residents will now be protected from discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations.

Georgetown Becomes 13th City with Fairness Ordinance

Georgetown became the 13th Kentucky town to adopt a fairness ordinance with a vote of 5-3. Georgetown has a population of 34,395. LGBTQ residents will now be protected from discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations.
