The ACLU of Kentucky, along with independent, non-partisan research and policy organization KyPolicy, filed a motion for leave to file a “friend of the court” brief on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, supporting The Bail Project (TBP) in Troutt v The Bail Project.

A Kentucky woman who is pregnant and seeking an abortion filed a lawsuit in Jefferson County Circuit Court seeking to strike down two abortion bans under the state constitutional rights to privacy and self-determination.

Attorneys from the ACLU of Kentucky and the Kentucky Democratic Party were unsuccessful in asking Jefferson Circuit Court to order polling locations in Jefferson County remain open past 6:00 p.m. ET.
